Meet Our Team
Dr. Anamaria Richardson
Pediatrician, Medical Director
Dr. Richardson is a pediatrician in the community who finds joy working with children who live with complexity, mostly as they are impacted unfairly by systems that fail to support their needs properly. She graduated from pediatrics in 2017 from UBC however was a teacher before this. She also has a degree in botany and plants are what occupy her free time. Dr. Richardson holds a Clinical Assistant Professor position at UBC for the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, and is also an Investigator with the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute. Her research focuses on improving equity for children and youth in terms of access to trauma informed, patient centred practice. She focuses heavily on advocacy and believes that research is vital to inform governmental organizations about what is needed on the ground. Dr Richardson also does outreach to rural communities, including Bella Coola, Powel River and Fort St. John as well as local outreach to clinics that work with Indigenous populations.

In my downtime I love to read, hike, play mahjong, and explore new places.
Dr. Dylan Ehman

I have a master’s degree in molecular genetics from the University of Toronto and completed my pediatrics residency at the University of Saskatchewan, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Hospital Medicine at BC Children’s Hospital through the University of British Columbia. Since then, I have been working on the inpatient unit at BC Children’s Hospital, in addition to being a consultant community pediatrician in Vancouver. In addition to inpatient pediatrics, I have an interest in medical education and quality improvement. I grew up in BC, and I am happy be able to use my training and experience to support the children, youth, and families in my community.
Katherine Henthrone
Family NP (Maternity Leave)
I graduated from the UBC school of Nursing (where I first met Anamaria) in 2010. I worked at BC Children's Hospital in the ER primarily, and at Canuck Place Children's Hospice. I loved nursing, but wanted to explore further education and gain a bigger scope of practice. I graduated from the UBC Master's of Nursing Program with my Nurse Practitioner certification in 2019, and joined Granville Medical Clinic in 2020.
A Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Master's prepared Nurse, who can prescribe medications and treatments, treat patients independently, order tests (including bloodwork, CT scans, MRI) and refer to specialists as necessary. Nurse Practitioners have a similar scope to a family physician, but have a background in nursing. A family NP can see patients from day one of life across the lifespan.
Dr. Esther Kim

I moved to Vancouver to pursue a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship before committing to working part time between the Neuropsychiatry Clinic at BC Children’s Hospital and community Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my family, training my adolescent velociraptor of a dog, trying new foods, and being humbled by Mother Nature.
Dr. Lanna Locke

I moved to Vancouver for my paediatric residency at BC Children’s Hospital which was completed in 2016. Following the completion of my residency, I completed an additional 18 months of training in Palliative Medicine. I am also particularly interested in working with teens and adolescents.
In addition to community Pediatric work, I work with the BC Children’s Hospital Oncology Long Term Follow-Up program, caring for survivors of childhood cancer. I also previously worked in the newborn intensive care unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital as a clinical associate.

Building on this experience, I recently graduated from the UBC Master's of Nursing Program at the University of British Columbia in July 2024. Outside of work, I enjoy time spent with friends and family, travelling, and exploring the beautiful landscapes of British Columbia!

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from BCIT in 2016. During my time as a nurse, I worked primarily at BC Children's Hospital in Oncology and Hematology. As much as I enjoyed working as a nurse, I always knew my end goal was to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I graduated from the UBC Master's of Nursing Program with my Nurse Practitioner certification in 2021, and met Katherine and Anamaria through my final preceptorship at Granville Pediatrics. In my spare time, I love to bike, hike and do all things outdoors!

Dr. Anamaria Richardson
Pediatrician, Medical Director
I graduated from UBC Pediatrics Training, as a "mature" student - which means I know what it is like to balance life and kids. I used to be a teacher, and have worked many odd jobs. I went into medicine to work towards a more equitable future, and hopefully this will be the future. I graduated from UBC Medicine, having done my training in Prince George, then completed my Pediatrics training in Vancouver. Previously I was a teacher, and also have a botany degree! I have been working at BCCH in Complex Care and in Biochemical Diseases since graduation. I also sit on numerous tables and boards, again interested in health equity.
